First All-American Open Winner from Indiana

width=What's it all about - Alfie? Winning is the answer for Alfie Hernandez, athletic director at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Hernandez posted a course record nine-under-par to win the inaugural All-American Open at the National Athletic Directors Show in Texas.  Hernandez bested over 100 competitors, including two fellow ADs who posted eight-under scores over the twelve-hole course that was part of the All-American Sports Poster exhibit at the 40th Annual event hosted by the NIAAA and the NFHS.

Winning a sudden-death putt off for the second place prize was JoyLynn Clark from Granger, Utah.  Clark dropped a 10-foot-birdie putt on the second sudden-death hole to edge Steve Zanazzo of  Fairbanks, Alaska.

The putting prowess of the participating athletic directors was only exceeded by the gallery's creative encouragements (?).
